PJ Day

Happy New Year
Happy 2014!
As we begin this new year I want to share a few of the fun things we have done so far this school year in our class:
In August we planned our fall garden. We planned lettuce, radishes and beans. Each week we checked to see how our plants were doing.
When the plants were ready we picked them and had a tasting party.
In the fall our social studies units centered around our community past and present. Our class took a great fieldtrip to the Arkansas Historical Museum. Here we got to experience what our community was like in the past.
As you can see we have been busy so far this school year. We will keep posting more of our fun as the year goes on.

During the month of December our class along with the rest of the school helped to buy Christmas gifts for some children in foster care.

Wise Beginnings
Second and Third graders are having a hoot in class this year! So far we have planned our class garden, learned about creation and have worked on descriptive writing. We are learning to work as a community and are getting accustomed to our new expanded classroom!

Spring
Spring is here! Our Journey North test gardens have bloomed. Today we found beautiful red tulips blooming in our gardens.
